I couldn’t resist jumping in front of this blue vertical iron-gated door while wearing my blue vertical pinstriped zip-up jumper dress. Something about line repetition makes my visually stimulated mind salivate.
The featured zip-up jumper dress was a thrift score which then had a few alterations. The shoulders were wide because the 90’s were real. And I have small shoulders to begin with, so my seamstress cut the shoulders smaller and reattached the piping. I wanted a tighter fit than the jumper was accomplishing on my body so the sides also came in.
The layer under the dress is a neon bandeau from American Apparel. In my Pittsburgh home I have been swapping the bandeau for an army green cami, which is a choice I enjoy, but I’m in the tropics and the neon felt more festive.
Handmade Silver Hoop Earrings
These sleek hand crafted hoops I bought at local boutique Luca and are designed by the twin designers dos pinceles. I discovered Luca while vacationing here last year and there was no way I could come back to this island without purchasing another piece from this perfectly curated boutique. Don’t visit Old San Juan without stopping here.
Antique Flower Ring
My antique flower ring is a favorite find of the famous Roger’s Flea Market. If you are a treasure seeker who has never experienced this place and you live near the Pittsburgh/Ohio border, go. Give yourself lots of time and bring sunscreen.
